Long Body Training is a transformative three-day experience that combines engaging movement, meditation, and thought-provoking presentations in the most positive social environment you’ll find anywhere. These workshops are ideal for educators, trainers, physicians, coaches, or health enthusiasts who are curious about health, the human body, and the state of the world today. 

Long Body Training workshops are unique explorations of health and human performance that address the fundamental problem of biological mismatch and the challenge of effective living in the modern world. The experience is physically challenging, intellectually stimulating, and socially engaging.

Fall Wild Edible Plant Walk

Come learn about the wild edible foods growing all around you and how to identify, forage, and eat wild plants in a responsible way. Class with begin at the Irene C. Hernandez Family Picnic area of LaBagh Woods. Students can try some premade wild food and tea while learning how to identify wild foods an forage responsibly then we will go on a plant walk through the woods. Although there will be no foraging on the walk, can take pictures of edible plants with note cards that remind them of the plant’s common name, latin name and what parts of the plant are edible. Students can then take this information to harvest plants on their own property or in other acceptable locations.  
$30 per person, cash only.

Do you hate going to the gym or are you bored with your exercise routine? Do your feet, legs and low back hurt on a regular basis? Do you want to gain more strength and mobility? If the answer is yes, come explore ways move your body in a fun and functional way.

-Find out what the difference is between movement and exercise.

-Learn how your posture, the way you walk, footwear and daily habits effect your movement.

-Rediscover movements that are natural to humans like crawling, lifting, carrying, throwing, running, jumping, hanging, climbing in a fun setting.

-Learn simple stretches and mobility exercise that can be used daily to help ease shoulder, foot, hip and back pain.

All bodies are welcome, no experience is necessary. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. $10 per person.
